Individual Lightning Lane Selection

Individual Lightning Lane Selections (ILLS) are a paid upgrade inside of the My Disney Experience app.

Nearly all of the attractions at the Disney World have either a Standby Lane (free to all guests) or a Lightning Lane (a paid upgrade to lessen time spent waiting in line).

Guests can use the My Disney Experience app to purchase the next available time slot for an attraction’s Lightning Lane (LL). The Lightning Lane can only be used for an attraction ONCE per day. You can ride an attraction multiple times in one day, but you can only enter it via the Lightning Lane once.

How do I purchase an Individual Lightning Lane Selection?

Guests can purchase up to 2 Individual Lightning Lane Selections per person per day through the My Disney Experience app. The price will be scaled based on season, attraction and park. Basically, the prices will go up based on demand and crowd levels much like the ticket pricing.

This is an a la carte option. You pay per attraction for the top tier attractions at each park.

Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections and Individual Lightning Lane Selections are just different ways to bypass the standby line and access the faster Lightning Lane. Yes, the naming is terrible and completely confusing.

The Genie+ upgrade allows guests to access Lightning Lanes for other attractions in the parks. You DO NOT have to purchase Genie+ in addition to ILLS.

Which Attractions can I purchase Individual Lightning Lane Selection (ILLS) for?

  • Magic Kingdom: 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and NEW Tron Lightcycle/Run
  • Hollywood Studios: Star Wars’ Rise of the Resistance
  • Epcot: Guardian’s of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind
  • Animal Kingdom: Avatar Flight of Passage

How do I make an Individual Lightning Lane Selection?

Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green can begin making Individual Lightning Lane selections at 7am each day on the My Disney Experience app.

All other guests can begin making Individual Lightning Lane selections at the official park opening time.

To make an ILLS, you must have a Disney Park Pass for that park. Guests with park hopper tickets can purchase an ILLS for any of the four parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios) they plan to hop to but for time slots beginning at 2pm when hopping starts.
