Disney Park Pass

Updated 10/30/2023

NOTE: Beginning January 9th, 2024 Park Passes/Theme Park Reservations will no longer be required for date based tickets.

Through January 8th, 2024, theme park reservations are still required as well as a ticket for theme park entry. Gone are the days of rolling up to whatever gate you want with your ticket (or Magic Band) in hand. You must make a theme park reservation for each day you have a ticket. This reservation is referred to as a Park Pass.

It is IMPORTANT to check on theme park availability BEFORE buying your tickets. Availability for theme park reservations is NOT GUARANTEED. We suggest checking to see if there are enough theme park reservations open for the dates you would like to travel BEFORE you purchase theme park tickets. There is no sense in buying the tickets and then being disappointed if the availability for your dates are slim pickings!

How do I check availability?

You can check out the theme park availability calendar here.

Okay, there is still theme park availability for the dates I want. What’s next?

Purchase your tickets. We recommend locking in your theme park reservations as soon as your can after your tickets are purchsed.

What if I change my mind and want to switch my park pass to another park?

You can modify your selection in My Disney Experience if the park you are switching to has availability.

If I have Park Hopper tickets, do I need a park pass?

You will only need your park pass for the first park that you visit. After 2pm, you can hop to another park, without a park pass for that second park. NOTE: You must at least tap in at the entry touch points for the park that you do have a park pass for BEFORE you will be permitted to hop to the second park.
