Minnie Van

Disney World has a fleet of red and white polka dotted vehicles that operate via the the ridesharing service,  Lyft.  These Minnie Vans between resort hotels and the parks. travel all over Disney property, to Disney Springs, as well at to the airport from 6:30AM-12:30PM daily.

This is not a free service. While Minnie Vans are undeniably cute,  they are definitely not cheap. This is a interesting transportation option that people have a lot of varying opinions on.

Even if you don’t think that you will utilize the service, it’s a good idea to know how Disney World Minnie Vans work. Just in case.

OK. GO AHEAD. TELL ME HOW DISNEY WORLD MINNIE VANS WORK.

You need to have the Lyft app installed on your phone.  Once you are on Disney Property, you will see the little Minnie Van icon on the Lyft maps. You can request a vehicle just like you normally would with a rideshare service.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Prices vary based on distance, day and time of day. You will see the total price when type in your destination. It will most likely be expensive than other rideshare services. However, it does have other benefits. Read on to see if it works for you.

WOULD IT WORK FOR MY GROUP?

I think it’s great for anyone, but is more cost effective for larger groups. Minnie Vans have child car seats and can accomodate ECV’s and wheelchairs if requested.

IS IT WORTH IT?

The Minnie Vans are  driven by Cast Members which is one of the biggest selling points for me. We have used the Minnie Vans many times and have had very interesting conversations with our drivers.  Every driver that we have had has worked in many different parts of the park and all of them were full of great information and tips.

Minnie Vans are also  super convenient at park close when the bus lines can get crazy (looking at you Magic Kingdom). Getting from resort to resort at Disney World is notoriously a hassle in most instances, so Minnie Vans are perfect for getting from your resort to a dinner reservation at another resort.
